‘Scott Pilgrim’ Netflix Anime Series Reunites Film’s Cast, From Michael Cera to Chris Evans, fans expecting something new and unique.

Before starting off, here is the presented look at the upcoming Scott Pilgrim adaption.

The upcoming Scott Pilgrim anime series on Netflix will reunite the entire main cast of the 2010 film, including Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, and many more.

The series, which is based on the popular graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O’Malley, will follow Scott Pilgrim as he tries to win the heart of Ramona Flowers, while also facing off against her seven evil exes. The anime will be produced by Science SARU, the studio behind the critically acclaimed anime series Devilman Crybaby.

It was reported earlier this year that many of the actors of the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will be returning for an animated Netflix series. Furthermore, the eight-episode anime is executive produced by Edgar Wright, who directed the live-action film (among other things).

The film’s director, Edgar Wright, will serve as an executive producer on the series. “I’m thrilled to be working with Netflix and Science SARU to bring Scott Pilgrim to life in a whole new way,” Wright said in a statement. “The series will be a faithful adaptation of the comics, but with a fresh new take that will blow fans away.”

Netflix has already released its first teaser for Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and confirmed that the series will be premiering on November 17, 2023. Elements that they believed were critical to maintaining the “Scott Pilgrim” vibe remain untouched. Because so much of “Scott Pilgrim” takes place in the early 2000s, the anime series is set in Toronto during that time period. The concept of having the characters utilize current language or be attached to modern technology and social media, on the other hand, was distasteful to O’Malley and Grabinski.

O’Malley and Grabinski believe that their take on the “Scott Pilgrim” tale would appeal to both new and old readers. The new components and narrative surprises were designed with existing fans in mind, but they also reflect an acknowledgement that delivering the same “Scott Pilgrim” tale in a world where full synopses can be found online already changes the experience.
