In the midst of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce, Zoey 101 star Alexa Nikolas has spoken up about meeting Joe as a teenager. She claimed that the singer repeatedly kept asking for her nud*es when they both were teens.
People are doubting that Joe’s divorce with Sophie Turner inspired the former ‘Zoey 101’ star to make the claim. She made the shocking accusation on X (previously Twitter) on Friday: “I met Joe Jonas when we were teens and let’s just say he’s the guy who wore a purity ring but asked for nudes,” according to aceshowbiz.com.
Alexa has previously spoken out about “predatory behavior” in Hollywood, accusing celebrities such as Jonah Hill and Justin Long of inappropriate behavior. She is also the founder of EatPredators, an initiative dedicated to combating predatory conduct in the food sector.
But surprisingly, this time Alexa’s assertion backfired.
Many speculated that she just told the tale now to draw attention to herself in the midst of Joe’s divorce news. “What a great way to make someone else’s divorce about yourself… Celebrities are so opportunistic… “Goodness,” a person commented in the comments section. “So what you’re saying is you don’t know him and you’re coming out of the woodwork saying something weird to make yourself relevant again because he’s trending?” another commented snarkily.
Joe and his representative have still not replied to any of Alexa’s allegations. Alexa, on the other hand, isn’t the first to suggest that Joe was sexually active in his youth while wearing the symbolic jewellery. Joe’s soon-to-be ex-wife Sophie also remarked during the ‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’ in 2021 that he “wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal rings.”
